With a successful career running her own publishing company behind her, Selina Edwards, is the last person you would expect to feel unconfident. But after taking time out of the workplace after having her youngest daughter Selina realised the digital world had left her behind.
“When my youngest daughter went to school, I thought “What am I going to do now?” explained Selina. “Marketing had changed so much and we used to send press packs out in the post. I didn’t know how social media worked.
“Although I had been successful in the past when you have had kids and left the workforce for a bit you can feel scared.”
Selina, who lives in Dorset with her husband and two daughters, studied the Digital Mums Foundation in Social Media Marketing in September 2019 and loved it so much she decided to sign up to the Advanced Diploma.
“I thrived doing it and learned so much.” said Selina. “I wanted to know even more so the Advanced Diploma was the natural next step.
