Bad Joke for Marvel Fans: First “Deadpool 3” synopsis released

Marvel Studios has released a first plot synopsis for "Deadpool 3". However, the synopsis resembles a joke of the titular superhero.

Due to last year’s Hollywood strikes, we can only expect one film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2024. However, it will be a very special film, as “Deadpool 3 will merge the titular anti-hero and the X-Men universe with the MCU.

So far, we’ve only been able to guess what “Deadpool 3” might be about from initial hints and images. Recently released shots from the set have shown, among other things, a version of Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) with long hair, confirming the speculation of many fans: We’ll be dealing with more than one Deadpool in the sequel.

There have not yet been any concrete details about the plot, but a first synopsis for “Deadpool 3” has now been published – albeit with a small catch. As can be seen from the X-Account Deadpool Updates, Marvel Studios Japan have shared the following announcement:

“That f***ing irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?”

The MCU is taking a short break from the big screen this year, apart from “Deadpool 3”.

The problem with the synopsis

The recently published synopsis doesn’t really provide fans with any new information, but merely reconfirms the very obvious assumption that Deadpool will stumble through the realms of the multiverse together with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).

It will also be interesting to see how Marvel Studios will translate or adapt the synopsis written in English in some other countries, particularly the United States of America. After all, swear words are not welcome in public in the USA, so both the US authorities and Disney could have a problem with the word “fucking”.

The first trailer will soon reveal what “Deadpool 3” will ultimately be about. Most likely, Marvel Studios and Disney used the halftime show of the upcoming Super Bowl on the night of February 11-12, 2024 to unveil the first preview of Deadpool’s MCU debut. If you’d also like to watch the two prequels before the movie’s release, you can find them and most other MCU productions on offer at Disney+.
