Nikki here, Co-Founder of Digital Mums. So, what sets us apart from other training programmes? Well, everything you do with Digital Mums is in real life, in the real world, on real social media platforms! Yep, the work you do each week over six and a half months would be the same that you would do working with a real business. That’s the whole point of our training; we get you ‘job-ready’. The old fashioned ‘chalk and talk’ method of teaching just doesn’t cut it or get you job-ready like our REAL learning does. 86% of our students go on to find employment within 12 months of graduating which we think is testament to our style of teaching and 92% of students complete the training which is unheard of in the online training world.
That’s not to say that it is easy though; if you are currently deciding whether to train with us then you better get ready for the roller coaster ride of your life! There will be ups and downs, definitely hysterical laughter with your peer group and possibly even some tears and tantrums….(I’m joking on the tears). The point I’m trying to make, is that the best things in life don’t come easy but are 100% worth the effort. Some people come to us and say “this is too good to be true, what’s the catch?” While there is no catch, what I will say, is that it’s definitely not for everyone. Do your research, talk to our past students before committing as it’s a challenging course, but the rewards are worth it. Learning online requires a lot of self motivation and determination.
So back to how we make you job-ready. On our Social Media Management Course, you get to pick a project or ‘movement’ as we like to call it which you are passionate about. You actually run this movement on live social media platforms that you set up from scratch. This means you get to build relationships with real businesses and real social media influencers which can lead to all sorts of opportunities as illustrated here by some of our past students in this blog.
We give you a selection of Movements to choose from Community, Food, Mind, Environment, Arts, and Learning. And we’ve recently added three new movements to pick, Fashion, Body and Work - There really is something for everyone!
Check out these Touchcast videos which give you a flavour of the types of campaign you could run while studying with Digital Mums. Touchcasts are a really cool technology that we use in the training. It looks like TV but feels like the web and you can interact with these videos so have a play! They are all around 2.5 minutes each, so sit down with a cuppa or a glass of wine and be inspired as I talk you through a few examples (and amazing success stories!).
