Time to invest in you with our new-look Digital Retox course

We’re really excited to be launching our next Digital Retox course with a new-look for the new year. Starting in January, admissions for our next generation digital skills course are NOW OPEN and we’ve given the course a makeover to make it even more accessible to complete around busy lives.

Jobs and skills go out of date faster than ever before. It’s scary how easy it is to get left behind. We’ll show you how to keep up with the evolving modern workplace and build the career you deserve by becoming a lifelong learner and creating a killer personal online brand. We’ll also build up skills in new digital workplace technologies such as Slack, Trello and Touchcast and introduce you to in-demand skills like how to improve business productivity and communication. And we’ll empower you with the confidence to take control of your own careers.

We know that finding the time to study and parent or work is a constant challenge. That’s why we’ve now designed the training over seven weeks, split up into bite-size modules that take around 3-4 hours to complete and can be done in your own time throughout the week.

The cost for the new version of our Digital Retox is £299 incl. VAT. Based on feedback from our last Digital Retox students, where the data project proved hugely popular, rather than offering two versions of the course, we’re now giving everyone the option to opt-in to the research project, where you’ll work remotely with fellow students to collate, analyse and visualise data to deliver a final report, which can then be showcased on your LinkedIn profile. The opt-in data project takes three weeks to complete and costs an additional £99 incl. VAT.

Who is it for?

Digital Retox is designed for women from all backgrounds whether in work or on a career break. For women in work, we’ll upskill you with next-generation digital workplace tools that can immediately make a difference to your current role. For those on a career break, we’ll make sure your skills are 21st Century-ready and give you the confidence boost you need to get back into the workforce - three quarters of students feel more confident overall thanks to our training.

Can I do it?

We’re big believers in women supporting women and understand that learning something new can be a daunting experience. That’s why on the Digital Retox you’ll be learning with a supportive group of like-minded women. We use Slack - one of the first communication tools you’ll learn about - to share ideas, thoughts and even life advice with. So although our training is remote, you’re never alone!

What’s in it for me?

  • A solid grounding in some of the most in-demand digital workplace skills around
  • The tools and knowledge to implement positive changes in your workplace now
  • The confidence to try out new technologies and get a foot back on the career ladder
  • Tricks and tools to become a lifelong learner so you can future-proof your career
  • A killer personal online brand so you can showcase your skills to the full and hustle for the roles, and pay, you deserve.
  • A relevant and cutting edge skill to put on your LinkedIn profile / CV
  • A network of like-minded, supportive women

But don’t just take our word for it…

According to past students, 8 in 10 feel more digitally confident since taking part in Digital Retox, 80% say they’ve developed their digital skills set and 73% feel more confident overall. Here’s what some of them had to say...

Alex Chell lives in East London with her two-year-old son. She works full time at a global tech company.

“Digital Retox has taught me way more than I expected and given me tangible skills and tools that are changing the way I, and my organisation, work.”

Victoria Wotherspoon lives in Switzerland with her two young daughters. She’s currently on a career break from teaching.

“Since completing the Digital Retox, I’ve become a lot more confident about using digital work tools such as Slack and Trello and about my own abilities to learn again and take on something new. It’s given me the confidence to say; ‘Yes, I can do that!’”

Denise Harman lives in London with her husband and five-year-old twins. She recently returned to a part-time role after a five year career break

“Just getting to grips, quickly, with new technology is a real boost for someone who’s been out of the workplace for a while. My digital knowledge has now been given a complete overhaul and it’s really boosted my self-esteem.”

Kate Brewin lives near Cambridge with her husband and eight-year-old daughter. She runs her own social media agency, Saffron Social:

“Digital Retox has had a hugely positive impact on my digital knowledge and I’m applying everything I’m learning directly to my work. It’s been a total life changer for me."

Now’s the time to invest in you. If you want to future-proof your career, you can go here to get an in-depth guide of the course and to sign up to get on the waiting list for our next cohort.
