The Bear season 4: Award-winning dramedy series secretly renewed

Fans of fine dining have reason to rejoice, as “The Bear” season 4 is apparently already a done deal.

Here’s to a resounding “Yes, Chef!”: As the end of season 3 revealed, a fourth season of “The Bear” is already a certainty. Although fans are still waiting for official confirmation, US broadcaster FX has secretly renewed the comedy-drama series about The Original Beef of Chicagoland. So we can look forward to new creations from the kitchen of the budding Michelin-starred restaurant.

“The Bear” Season 4: To be continued

As Deadline and other US media reported, those responsible have probably decided to film the third and fourth seasons of “The Bear” in one go in Chicago – at least in a certain way. When the cast was asked about this rumor at a press conference on 24 June 2024, lead actor Jeremy Allen White responded:

“We did something like that.

” Colleague Ayo Edebiri added:

“Yes, a small version of it, so to speak. But not really.”

We will hopefully soon find out exactly what this is all about. Because season 3 concludes with an open ending before the fade-in “To be Continued” reveals that we can definitely look forward to further episodes. Some fans fear the bland aftertaste of a series ending at this point, as the cameras for season 4 of the FX series “Atlanta” also rolled directly after season 3, which went hand in hand with the series finale. For now, however, you can rest easy:As Deadline pointed out, no decision has yet been made about a possible fifth season, but instead the filming schedule has been adjusted because the lead actors Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are now in high demand. In addition, series creator Christopher Storer has set his sights on the position of writer and director for the film adaptation of Amor Towles’ novel “The Lincoln Highway”. With these busy schedules, it would have been very difficult to reunite everyone involved on the set of “The Bear” in a timely manner.

When will “The Bear” season 4 start? It is currently not known when “The Bear” season 4 will start. If FX sticks to its usual annual rhythm, the sequel could be expected in summer 2025. Since, according to Jeremy Allen White, filming has already been completed, with a bit of luck we could even expect an earlier comeback. Fans in Germany would then probably have to be prepared for another delay of around two months. However, this has not yet been confirmed.

“The Bear” season 4: What happens next

– Warning: Spoilers for season 3 follow –

The current episodes leave us with plenty of questions that will hopefully be answered in “The Bear” season 4. We remember: After the farewell dinner at Ever, Carmy receives a push notification on his cell phone. The Chicago Tribune has published the restaurant review that will decide the future of The Bear. However, it is not clear to the public what the author’s final verdict is. Although many individual words fly across the screen, they are both positive and negative – from “excellent” to “incongruous”, from “brilliant” to “bland”.

If the review is negative, The Bear would face the same fate as The Ever. Uncle Jimmy (Oliver Platt) had already made this clear to Carmy. However, if the magazine published a favorable review, the restaurant might finally be able to start making a profit. Perhaps a Michelin star would soon be on the cards?

There is only one thing standing in the way of this: Sydney’s career decision. Will she turn her back on The Bear and accept Adam Shapiro’s offer to try her hand as an independent chef de cuisine? Or will she end up signing the partnership agreement with Carmy? Although Syd had expressed great interest to Adam, she didn’t have the heart to tell Carmy…

The staff also have to deal with the private chaos. Richie has to decide whether he wants to attend the wedding of his ex-wife Tiff (Gillian Jacobs). Although he gets on surprisingly well with her new partner Frank (Josh Hartnett), he seems to see his role as a father in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Marcus (Lionel Boyce) buries himself in work. Is he trying to suppress his grief over his deceased mother?

However, Carmy’s character development is likely to be the most exciting. After all, he has already taken the first step and is attending group therapy. Nevertheless, he has not yet managed to apologize to Claire (Molly Gordon) – at least not in person. Under the protection of the cold room, he has at least said the words to his smartphone. Is there still a future for “The Bear” dream couple?
